Filing the translation of the claims of a European patent application to obtain provisional protection in Italy (Art. 67 EPC)

• full details of the Applicant(s) of the EP application;
• essential details of the European patent application concerned;
• copy of the claims to be translated and, preferably, of the full specification and drawings;
• authorisation signed by the Applicant(s) of the EP application (no legalization required).

Filing the translation of a European patent to validate it in Italy (Art. 65(1) EPC)-time limit: 3 months from the grant of the patent

• full details of the Owner(s);
• essential details of the European Patent concerned;
• entire specification (description with claims and abstract + drawings, if any) of the text on which the European Patent shall be granted or has been granted (e.g. "Druckexemplar" annexed to the communication under Rule 71(3) EPC);
• authorisation signed by the Owner(s) of the European Patent (no legalization required), if not yet filed.

Filing the translation of an EP as amended after opposition (Art. 102(3) EPC)-time limit: 3 months from decision to maintain the EP

• full details of the Owner(s);
• essential details of the European Patent concerned;
• entire specification of the European Patent as maintained in the amended form
after opposition (specification with claims + drawings, if any);
• authorisation signed by the Owner of the European Patent (no legalization required), if not yet filed.
